ÌÒÒ Holds the Fourth Summit of Regional Representatives11 November 2008
OJSC MTT, an international and domestic long-distance telecommunications operator in the Russian Federation, is to hold the fourth summit of its regional representatives, operating under quasi-franchise scheme in November 11-13, 2008. Over 50 owners, general and commercial directors of MTT representative offices from 45 regions of Russia have been invited to the conference traditionally held every six months. Jointly with the MTT top management they will discuss strategic issues of tariff policy, MTT services promotion in the regions and prospects of further representative offices development. Discussion of billing issues, IT systems development for representatives, MTT brand promotion and sales effectiveness increase through marketing events, legal aspects are on the agenda. “The previous three summits gave an opportunity to thoroughly discuss the actual benefit of implementing the ideas that serve as the basis for the quasi-franchise scheme. The MTT representatives operating under the quasi-franchise scheme are developing the MTT regional business and we are sure that the fourth summit will make their operation more productive”, said Victor Bertyakov, MTT General Director.
OJSC Multiregional TransitTelecom is a national long-distance and international telecommunication operator. The company was set up in 1994 with a mission to establish co-operation between communication operators. MTT offers telecom services and provides efficient co-operation organization to more than 300 mobile operators and 100 PSTN operators in Russia as well as their co-operation with 50 foreign operators, signaling co-operation – with more than 300 operators. In 2005, the company obtained Rossvyaznadzor (the Federal Service for Communication Supervision) License No32042 for long-distance and international communication services to end-users in the entire Russia. The services are based on the nationwide multiservice network with its presence in every Russian region. In 2007 the company’s consolidated service revenue exceeded USD 1,08 bln. In 2007 voice traffic volume transmitted by the MTT network for the main services was more than 9,8 bln minutes.
